Using my personally developed system of combining numerology and tarot I love to offer roving Tarot readings. Guests enjoy and are often quite amazed because the information because they find it “spot on” accurate. The information shared is very accurate and focuses on the nature of personalities rather than personal life details. Thus, it works very well in group settings and encourages group interaction between and among guests.

Hattie: People at parties are relaxed: The comfort of a non-threatening setting contributes to creating conditions for particularly successful readings. This is one of the reasons both guests and readers find party readings particularly enjoyable and meaningful.

Many guests have told me that they have never had a reading before. They often say that they appreciate the opportunity to try something new among friends.

Q.: What should I look for in a reader when planning a party?

Hattie: Look for someone who is good at what they do. Don't be overly concerned with what type of reading -- cards, palms, or pure psychic intuition. A good reading is a good reading.

Q.: Do readers tell only “good news” at parties?

Hattie: This is a good question to ask when seeking to hire a reader for an event. In my experience, professional readers do this work because they are committed to being of service to others. People consult readers seeking real insight and guidance. Though readings are appropriately considered entertainment at a party, if a reader is “off the mark” in telling someone all is rosy when it is not, it creates lack of trust. Good readers use their sixth sense and make discerning choices about what is appropriate to the individual and the setting.

Q.: If there are going to be multiple readers, is it important hire readers who have different talents?

Hattie: Every reader is unique so it is not really necessary to avoid duplicating disciplines. There could be 5 different Tarot readers at an event and each will offer something special.
